Community Education

The core of Consumer Action's educational mission is to improve financial literacy at the community level. Tailoring its community education approach, Consumer Action is able to promote informed participation in the marketplace by people of color, low income and rural consumers, recent immigrants and seniors.

On this page we present our unique community education model as well as case studies of our successful work in specific communities.

  • Community Education Project—Our Model
Consumer Action has developed a unique, four-pronged multilingual community education and outreach model.
  • Community Outreach—AA/PI Populations
Consumer Action serves the Asian-American/Pacific Islander (AA/PI) communities with multilingual publications, financial literacy programs, stipend grants, in-language media outreach, consumer hotline and multilingual website.
