The Louisiana Department of Insurance presents the Conference on Insurance Fraud and Vehicle Theft.

Insurance fraud is a major problem for both insurance companies and consumers. Every time an insurance company pays a fraudulent claim, it increases the cost of doing business, which is reflected in higher insurance premiums for Louisiana citizens.

At this conference, they will present current fraud trends in the insurance industry and their relationship to producers, insurers, policyholders, law enforcement and business. They will discuss new initiatives aimed at combatting insurance fraud and vehicle theft.
They will also focus on those issues surrounding the prosecution of insurance fraud. This conference will host speakers whose presentations will update the conference participants on these critical developments.
