This course was previously titled “Innovative Solutions to Combat Mortgage Defaults” An advanced level course for foreclosure prevention counselors with at least one year of one on one counseling experience. The class will examine best practices in foreclosure prevention and intervention from around the country that are making a difference in foreclosure rates. Participants will learn what’s working and what’s not so they can use that information to build the capacity of their own organization to deliver foreclosure services. Participants will also take a closer look at the servicer side of the foreclosure intervention process and how to build relationships with servicers that will make a difference for their clients. This course also satisfies Part II of the training requirements for the Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling Certification Part I program.
