Event Details
The real estate market enjoyed record returns over the past several years, in part, fuelled by the marketing of exotic and predatory loans. Many borrowers are now holding loans they cannot pay and foreclosures are imminent. This will be a wave sweeping the country and will devastate neighborhoods and cities. What are some ways to keep homeowners out of trouble?
At this workshop, participants will learn how to work with servicers, lenders, and techniques for dealing with consumer problems.
Target Audience: Legal assistance organizations, public and private sector leaders whose interest is in homeownership preservation, those involved in consumer protection and others whose cause is to protect consumers from foreclosures, abuse, and predatory lending.
Presenter: Gail Burks, President & CEO Nevada Fair Housing Center and NCRC Board Member
Training Site: The training events are on-site at our Training Academy at 727 15th Street, NW between New York Avenue and H Street. We are two blocks from the McPherson and Metro Center metro stations.
Webinar Sites: Your personal computer and a telephone is all that is necessary. Log-in information will be forwarded to you.
Workshop fees: FREE to NCRC Members, $25.00 for non-profit non-members, $50 for academic institutions and government; $75 for for profits. To register send an email to aalbright@ncrc.org.
