Teaching financial literacy to Spanish-speakers
As part of the MoneyWi$e financial literacy training held in early May, 2006 in Miami, a group of experts discussed how to teach financial literacy skills to the Hispanic community. Here they share some tips.
MoneyWi$e goes to Massachusetts
Consumer Action's MoneyWi$e team held the second of its 2005 regional financial literacy trainings in Norwood, Mass., on Nov. 2-3. Chicago Financial Literacy Forum
In early May 2004, Consumer Action and its MoneyWi$e financial literacy partner Capital One held a financial training in Chicago, IL designed to teach local community groups how to talk to their clients about money and financial management. Speakers from the Federal Reserve and the Federal Trade Commission joined guests at the event.

Fall Anniversary Party 2003
Consumer Action (CA) held its anniversary fundraising party and Consumer Excellence Awards ceremony on June 19 in San Francisco. The event raised $34,000 in contributions from corporations, individuals and community organizations.
On June 22, Consumer Action held its 35th anniversary fundraiser and Consumer Excellence Awards ceremony at its new offices in downtown San Francisco. Against Bay Bridge views from the large windows that encircle the organization’s spacious new headquarters, supporters old and new networked, sipped drinks and nibbled hors d’oeuvres.
