Help Desk FAQ
Gift Cards
Are there service fees on a gift card?
There can be. Monthly maintenance and usage (transaction) fees are two types of potential gift card fees, though not all card issuers charge them, and amounts vary. Fees are subtracted from the balance on the card.
A dormancy (inactivity) fee can be assessed only if the gift card has gone unused for at least a year. You can also be charged a fee to replace a lost or stolen card.
All fees must be disclosed on the gift card or on its packaging.
