What is an introductory rate?
An introductory, or teaser, interest rate is a temporarily low rate—sometimes 0%—offered by a credit card issuer as an incentive for you to apply for the card. After the introductory period is over, the rate will increase to the normal, higher “go to” rate. By law, the introductory period must last at least six months.Quick Menu
