Help Desk FAQ
Prepaid Cards
Can my prepaid card expire?
Prepaid cards typically display a “valid thru” date, allowing them to be used for online or phone purchases, which require that information. The card becomes invalid on that date, but the card issuer should automatically send you a new card by then. Automatic renewal may not happen, however, if you haven’t loaded or used the card in a long time or if there is a zero balance. If you need a replacement card and haven’t received one in the mail by two weeks before the expiration date, contact the card issuer (by whatever option is free) to find out why not.
