Airline baggage fees
Thursday, April 17, 2008
Checked baggage fees started with Ryanair. Then they crossed the Atlantic and the Spirit caught on with Allegiant and Virgin America, too. Most recently, U.S. carriers Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways have added checked baggage fees.
Consumer Action wants to bring to your attention a list been prepared by OAG (Official Airline Guide), a global flight information and data solutions company. The list features links to the policies of select airlines around the world. The links are not live, so just cut and paste them into your browser to learn the baggage fee policies on the airlines you fly.
