Consumer Action was invited by Richard Wallace, President of BCC, to present a three-day workshop on "Credit and Rebuilding Credit." We also will participate in a panel discussion on credit with representatives from the three national credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, and host a table in the business expo section to display our MoneyWi$e materials.

Convention 2008 is a three-day, non-partisan event with the mission of promoting minority participation in the political process and to expand awareness of the beneficial impact of minority involvement in business and education.

Nationally recognized speakers and media headliners like Roland Martin, Donna Brazile, Amy Holmes, and Jamal Simmons will attend the event. In addition, CNN's Larry King, and Anderson Cooper, as well as commentators from BET and local networks, will broadcast live the from the convention.

In addition to the speakers, Convention 2008 will provide great networking opportunities, voter registrations, panel discussions, business expo and financial literacy workshops.
