Apple: ‘We continue to investigate’ battery issues

Apple, having recently released an update to iOS 5 intended to fix battery drain issues, told All Things Digital that it is still working on the problem in the wake of complaints that the software update was a dud for some users.
“The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,” the company told the tech site on Friday. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”
Reports from users about battery life after the update have been mixed, with some saying that the issue has been completely resolved, while others have seen no change and still others have said that the battery leaks have worsened since they downloaded the latest build.
