Consumer Action celebrates its 40th Anniversary today
Contact: Consumer Action staff and supporters will attend 40th Anniversary event this evening in Washington, DC.
Consumer Action staff, friends and supporters will gather in Washington, DC tonight to celebrate our many milestones and to honor this year’s Consumer Excellence awardees: Eileen Ambrose, Baltimore Sun financial correspondent; Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), and one of our community partners, the Opportunities Industrialization Center/DC.
"Consumer Action is celebrating four decades of service on behalf of under-served consumers and communities," said Executive Director Ken McEldowney. "In our 40 years, we have provided effective advocacy, multilingual consumer educational materials, financial empowerment, community outreach and complaint assistance to consumers nationwide."
