舊金山消費者行動（Consumer Action）和AT&T公司，17日要求消費者注意購買手機時的欺詐行為，並提供消費者預防之道。
他們指出，詐騙消費者的手機經銷商多數不是幾家主要通訊公司授權的代理商，受害者不僅未享受到任何手機服務，還因簽了合約而必需支付帳款。
