Low-interest government loans to help with storm damage

Even if you don’t own a business, you may be eligible for a disaster loan from the federal Small Business Administration to help repair damage to your home from Hurricane Sandy. Odd as it may sound, the S.B.A. administers low-interest loans to homeowners (as well as to businesses and non-profits) in disaster areas. The loans are meant to finance repairs not covered by insurance. Loans of up to $200,000 are available to replace or repair your main home.
