Some good news for parents looking at tighter budgets as back-to-school expenses pile up: You have a couple of cheaper options for keeping your kids connected. Verizon Wireless announced Friday that it will offer a 300 MB data plans for smartphones and regular cellphones for just $20 a month. All data plans must be purchased as an add-on to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk or Talk and Text plan, which begin at $39.99 per month. Existing customers in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and North Carolina can access the new plans starting Saturday.
