Sign-ups for college-affiliated credit cards drop

The number of credit cards issued through colleges and alumni associations declined 17% last year, according to a survey released last week by the Federal Reserve. Consumer advocates say the decline reflects a 2009 law that limits the marketing of credit cards to undergraduates. The Fed survey also showed that the number of marketing agreements between credit card companies and colleges, universities and alumni associations declined by 41 to 1,004, a 4% drop from 2009.Read Full Article: Sign-ups for college-affiliated credit cards drop
