What is the best 529 savings plan for you?

Opting for passive fund 529s can save as much as 0.85% in expenses, says Savingforcollege.com founder Joe Hurley.  But which of the many low-cost funds should you choose?

It depends on your state. If you live in one of the three states -- Indiana, Utah, or Vermont -- that offers tax credits, it pays to stay in state. You can get significant rebates on your 529 investments.
