Facebook to provide more secure HTTPS connection for U.S. users

Facebook is giving its U.S. users an extra layer of security by providing a more secure Internet connection when using the social network. Starting this week, Facebook said users accessing its website will go through a HTTPS connection. The Internet protocol is commonly used by banks and other security sensitive websites.
