Getting judgment against you causes severe harm to credit

Dear Liz: One of the credit bureaus is blocking my attempts to correct misleading information in my credit report. My credit should appear near-perfect. All my bills are paid in full monthly. My only debt is a mortgage, and like every other bill the loan payments are automated so no payment can ever be late. My problem stems from a tenant who owed me more than $1,000 but who sued me in Small Claims Court. A judge granted the tenant an unwarranted (in my opinion) judgment that I paid within two weeks.
