Lawmakers begin process to rescind Trump-era EEOC rule

On Tuesday, Senator Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Representative Bobby Scott (D-Va.) took a crucial step toward reversing a rule issued by the Trump administration that had made it much more difficult for workers to secure justice when they were discriminated against at work. The rule weakened the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC's) ability to root out discrimination.
This action represents the first use of the Congressional Review Act to reverse Trump-era rules and regulations.
