Consumers who bought certain Safeway Select Olive Oil products with the “Imported from Italy” or “Extra Virgin” label between May 23, 2010 and December 16, 2016 may be eligible for a voucher or cash. The company reached a settlement over allegations that the olives did not originate in Italy as implied by the label “Imported from Italy” on oil products and the distribution process did not adequately meet the standards as implied by label “extra virgin.”
