CFPB wants your input on “Know Before You Owe”

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Months before the new consumer watchdog has even opened its doors it’s asking for your opinion on how new mortgage forms should be presented to the public.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) wants you to help decide the best way for consumers to know how much they’ll owe on a mortgage – before they sign on the dotted line.

Let’s get rid of all the confusing language and get to the point.

Let the CFPB know what you think.

The CFPB says: This is where you come in. We want you to take a look at two draft versions of the new form. Then tell us what about them works for you and what doesn't.

We believe the consumer financial product and services market should work for you.
