Seeking strong energy policies

Consumer Action is working in support of three measures that have already been passed by either the House or Senate earlier this year, including an increase in auto fuel economy standards, an increase in domestic production of bio-fuels, and an increase in renewable electricity by utilities.

Consumer Action has joined a number of consumer groups in demanding an energy bill that would save over $180 billion on our gasoline bills; slash foreign oil imports by over 120 billion gallons, stopping the growth of imports for the first time in over two decades, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over a trillion tons, which will save billions of dollars. The content of the ad is in support of three measures that have already been passed by either the House or Senate earlier this year. The ad will appear in Congress Daily late this month and early December. Signers are:
