Support Consumer Action
Consumer Action, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is working hard to help individuals and families achieve and maintain economic security, improve their financial wellbeing, understand their rights, and make wise choices in the marketplace. We do this through consumer-focused advocacy and free, unbiased multilingual education. In early 2020, we launched our COVID-19 Educational Project to provide essential information and valuable resources to help low- and moderate-income workers, limited-English speakers and other hard-hit communities cope with the financial fallout of the pandemic.
More than ever, we need your help to continue making timely, real-world financial education available to all those who need it. Please consider sponsoring one of our events or making a tax-deductible donation to Consumer Action today by selecting an option below. Thank you!
Annual Event Pledge
Each fall, we organize a special anniversary event where subject matter experts and the country’s top community educators share information and insights on a topic area of particular relevance at the moment. At the end of the convening, in observance of our anniversary, we present our Consumer Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding work in the area of consumer advocacy and education. This is our only fundraising event of the year, and your pledge ensures that we can continue to provide our services and educational materials to consumers nationwide at no charge! If you would like more information or would like to make a pledge, please contact Ken McEldowney, Consumer Action's executive director, by phone (510-333-4886) or by email.

Join Consumer Action! For only $25 a year, individuals and nonprofit community-based organizations can become members of Consumer Action and help us to continue our vital education and advocacy activities, provided at no cost to consumers and community educators nationwide. Cy pres Awards
For two decades, courts have granted cy pres funding to Consumer Action because of our unique ability to serve the plaintiff class with unbiased education and outreach related to virtually any type of case. State and federal courts have approved dozens of cy pres grants for Consumer Action in cases involving a wide range of issues, including credit cards, insurance, privacy, TCPA, consumer banking fees, merchant credit/debit card fees, car repossessions, long distance fees, debt collection, income tax refunds, rent-to-own, health care, and housing.
Bequests
Many nonprofit organizations are securing their financial future by seeking bequests from donors who wish to leave a lasting legacy. By naming Consumer Action in your will, as a beneficiary on your retirement/brokerage accounts or life insurance policies, or as the recipient of long-term appreciated securities, you will ensure that future generations of consumers benefit from your generosity. If you would like more information, please contact Ken McEldowney, Consumer Action's executive director, by phone (510-333-4886) or by email.
Corporate Education Partners
Changing demographics have created a new and exciting marketplace in the U.S.—one in which not all participants speak the same language. Your company can benefit from putting consumer education materials in the hands of all consumers, including non-English speakers, and Consumer Action can help you do that. For more information on a corporate education partnership, please contact Ken McEldowney, Consumer Action's executive director, by phone (510-333-4886) or by email.
